Crafting Folk Pop Melodies

Ronán is a singer-songwriter from Ireland, and was formerly the lead singer of the pop-rock Red Kid the Band (2001–2019). Releasing a number of EPs and Albums over this time and performing at festivals and venues across Europe.

He started writing at an early age and has a large repertoire of original music already under his belt. He has also worked on music for Film and TV.

Ronán enjoys experimenting with a blend of traditional styles, modern folk, and pop, infusing them with catchy lyrics. With diverse influences like Radiohead, Tom Waits, The Villagers, The Dubliners, Mary Coughlan, Jeff Buckley, and more, the music is a rich tapestry of sounds and styles.

In recent years, after a few years break from performing, he reignited the passion for creating, sharing, and collaborating with other musicians and artists around his new base in Roscommon. This renewed drive for creativity is the foundation of his long awaited solo album (2026 “Where the heart lands”). Is currently in demo stage aiming to be complete by mid 2025 for release 2026. “where the heart lands” will offer a collection of songs that blend the essence of folk with the introspective style of Nick Drake and a touch of spiritual depth.

Reflecting a merge of traditional influences with modern sensibilities, creating a unique and soulful sound. The album promises to carry listeners through a journey of reflective melodies, poetic lyrics, and intricate acoustic arrangements, capturing the spirit of both timeless folk traditions and contemporary artistic exploration.
